Services
Caregiving
Support with personal care, including toileting and daily routines.
If your loved one is living in a care facility, you may notice that they need to wait for staff to be available to meet their needs. During facility visits, I can provide additional support at mealtimes and with hygeine.
Companionship
Warm, friendly and attentive companionship including outings, walks, coffee dates, museums, concerts and other meaningful community experiences. Live piano performances and interactive experiences.
Should your loved one live in a care facility, they may appreciate more one to one attention than is already available. I provide support and encouragement to participate in on site recreational programming. If the planned programming doesn't appeal to your loved one, we can do personalized activities instead, ensuring that they enjoy their leisure time.
Household Assistance
Light housekeeping tasks including pet care. If living in a care facility, I can provide additional cleaning support to ensure that the environment is sanitary and fresh.
Musical Enjoyment
Whether you have your own piano or need me to bring my keyboard, we can incorporate music into our visits. Care homes often have more than one piano. During facility visits we can spend time together creating musical memories.

Travel Assistance
Perhaps you want to take a cruise or simply have a weekend away with your loved one. Assisting you to plan and care for your loved one on a local or international trip may be possible.
Details such as length of travel, available rest periods and level of care are some of the factors which influence rates. Please reach out to discuss your needs.
Legacy Support
The end of life is an especially challenging time with varied responsibilities and tasks to carry out. Some of my skills which may be useful at this stage are; making digital slide shows and memory books, writing announcements, poetry and tributes along with providing background music for solemn occasions.
Rates for assistance depend on time commitment and complexity of projects. I am flexible with pricing at such a sensitive time and am willing to discuss options which would suit your needs and budget.
My Experience
Teaching and caregiving have been my lifelong chosen fields of work. I began my career in early childhood education supporting preschoolers and then moved on to caring for special needs youth in the public school system. Later, I began assisting adults with disabilities living in private and fully staffed residences, providing all forms of care including personal care, life skills teaching and community involvement. More recently I have come full circle in my caregiving and teaching career as I have transitioned to supporting seniors experiencing dementia and those who are navigating the end of life.
Since rediscovering the piano not long ago, I realised that I could combine my two favourite pastimes, music and caregiving, in my role as a senior's companion. It's my pleasure to provide compassionate care with a creative touch at this natural stage in my career!
